HE IS RISEN!

No power in death...
Grace given for you and ME...
TODAY OUR SAVIOR IS RISEN...

I love this video of the RESURRECTION DANCE... The enthusiasm of young Christians proclaiming their faith in and thankfulness for the risen son Jesus Christ!!! and because it was filmed in Hungary not too far from where my Mom was lived for the first three years of her life. Brings tears to my eyes.
HE IS RISEN!

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." John 11: 25-26

NOTHING in my life is more important to me then knowing Jesus as my Lord and my Savior!
There is no sting in death, when we have Christ! And on this day when my Savior lives and rose into heaven for you and ME I cannot help but reflect on what that means in my life. Is my life any different because of this gift? Do I have HIS joy, faith, perseverance, love and eternal perspective... I would love to say I do all the time... but I am a sinner and I'm not perfect and that is why I need HIM... and therefore even more thankful for HIS grace and mercy in my life!
Thank you Lord for being obedient... even obedient to death on a cross, so that through you we may have LIFE!
HE IS RISEN INDEED!

Ethan's Baby Dedication

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.
So now I give him to the LORD.
For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD."
And he worshiped the LORD there.
1 Samuel 1:27-28

On Sunday we had Ethan Dedicated in Church.
It was a special time for us as a family, especially to have my parents there.
Before the congregation and before the Lord, Ben and I committed to bring Ethan up according to God's ways and God's word.
We want Ethan to know that God loves him. We want him to know Jesus as his Savior and have a personal relationship with him one day.
But for now, we promise we will do our best as parents to raise Ethan and Isabella in a godly way, prayerfully committing them to the Lord and to raise them not according to our own ways, but to the ways of God.
Here are some photos from church..
Isabella was clearly NOT cooperating for pictures!!!

Deeper Still in OKC

Before my mom planned to come visit... Julie, Laura and I planned a trip to OKC to go to the Deeper Still Women's Conference hosting Beth Moore, Pricilla Shirer, and Kay Aurthur. I was sort of hoping that Ben would manned the fort ALL BY HIMSELF... But My mom was here to help (although little Isabella is hardly a struggle on her worst days!!!)

Anyway, Friday night and all day Saturday was filled with deep, passionate women sharing what God had laid on their hearts. It was amazing to hear all 3 of these gifted ladies speak to the audience of over 9000! I can't say one was better than the other... Because all three were filled with the word of God and spoke truth at every turn. Each lady had a special message that touched my heart in a different way.

Julie, Laura and I had a fabulous time just us girls! We were able to leave at noon (thanks to Grandma Susie who watched Maddie and Bella) to go Shopping and out for dinner before the conference. We ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (my favorite place to eat... mostly because of the cheesecake)!
It was a great day and a half with two great girls! Thanks Julie & Laura for the adventure. We'll have to do it again sometime!
Dinner... It was sooo good!
The cheesecake in pj's... even better!
Before we got into it!
At the conference.

Do you know Him?

Let me introduce you to my friend...
His name is Jesus
He is my Savior
He is my Redeemer
He is the I AM
Today HE IS RISEN!

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

Tis The Reason For the Season

This Christmas Season we are so THANKFUL to God for sending his SON JESUS CHRIST to this world. He came as GOD, but yet a MAN to this earth, so that we may have the opportunity to live with HIM for eternity.

I am so excited that Isabella received so many wonderful Christmas books that tell the story of BABY JESUS being born in the manger. As she gets older I can't wait for her to truly understand the Christmas Story and what it means as apart of her heritage.

"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:10-11
