Bath Time with MiMi

It was time for a Bath...
those little folds were starting to not smell like a sweet baby anymore.
Ethan sure is getting BIG and he sure does LOVE his baths! Not a peep out of this little guy while he was getting cleaned up. I'm getting excited to take Ethan in the pool this summer. I think he is going to love the water!

What a difference a few months makes! Ethan's 1st bath at home (11 days old)

Date Night!

On Saturday while up in OKC, Ben and I were able to sneak away for a nice evening of adult conversation and yummy food from PF Chang's thanks to Grammy.
I really don't mind bringing the kids along with us... but it sure is nice to not have any 'tag-a-longs'. Isabella is getting to the age where she knows she has the option of behaving and obeying OR not. So she can be testing at times.

Anyway, Ben and I really enjoyed being able to spend some time just the two of us! And oh, that food is good! Thanks Ann.

OKC Memorial Marathon

The OKC Memorial Marathon was this weekend up in Oklahoma City.
Ann flew in to help Ben out with the kids on Sunday during the race and stay for the week.

This year I was a member of the Tanker Mamas Relay Team. Bobbie, Bridget, Jenn, Katie and I made up this fabulous team. I ran the third leg which was 7.2 miles. I had so much fun, not only was I ready to run longer, being in the race gave me a renewed love for running. I finished my leg in 1:11. I was able to run with my friend Catherine who was running full marathon, which was probably one of the best parts. It was her first marathon, so I knew the excitement of and very exhausting parts of running 42.2 miles! All of us did a great job and had fun spending time together.

Here are some photos from the race:

Ethan is 2 months old

Our little man turned 2 months old on Monday.
I took him into the dr's for his appointment.
Here are his stats:
11.1 lbs
23.1/4 inches long
He is getting so big!
Here is what our little man is doing these days:
  • Starting to stand (put weight) on his legs
  • LOVES sleeping on his stomach... I only let him stay like that during the day when I am in the room... other then that he sleeps on his back
  • starting to coo
  • starting to smile
  • taking interest in his sister and others around.
  • loves the stroller and his car seat (he falls asleep as soon as he gets in either)
  • he is now fitting into 3-6 month clothing
  • still in size 1 diapers... but our Fuzzy Bunz came... so at home Ethan is in cloth diapers
  • doesn't really have a set schedule
  • for the most part, Ethan is getting up only one time during the night
  • for some reason, Ethan doesn't like nursing in the afternoons. He starts going strong for the first 5 minutes and then decides to move on to the bottle... so I have been pumping to keep up with this little man.
  • still LOVES bath time
  • still sleeps in the hall (due to being a very loud sleeper) once he starts sleeping longer at night, I am going to move him in with Isabella
  • Ethan's eyes are still BLUE

What a Daddy!

I have started back teaching my spin class on Tuesday and Thursday nights. It feels so good to get back into shape and sweat a little! Before I leave I put Isabella to bed at 7:45 and hope that Mr. Ethan is a good little boy and sleeps the whole time...
Ben is taking two Master's classes this month, so the evenings are busy. I appreciate Ben so much watching the kids while I go spend an hour with the girls sweating away.
Tonight little Ethan was a little demanding... and even though I fed him before I left, he got hungry again, so Daddy had to do the honors! He even changed a poopy diaper!
When I got home this is what I found:
How precious!!!
Ethan was snuggled into Ben's chest. Some good father-son bonding time.

Easter Egg Hunt

This afternoon Ben set up a little easter egg hunt for Bella on the back patio.
She was so cute and as soon as we opened the door she went scurrying around the patio finding all the eggs. And then we opened one of eggs for her... and then she turned into a little terror wanting us to open all the eggs to get the one jelly bean inside each one. She sat there and screamed MORE MORE MORE..peese peese peese(please)!

Photos after Church... The kids didn't last long to actually take good photos.

This was taken in the morning after Bella and Ethan woke up. Aren't they cute?
