Bunny Ears!

My mom has been here this week to visit. It has been a busy week, so Grandma Susie has been able to spend a lot of time all alone with Isabella.

This afternoon we took Bella out around town to snap a few photos. Our photo shoots aren't as easy anymore now that Bella just wants to go go go! But I was able to capture a few good shots of Bella and her Grandma Susie.

And a few of our precious little girl all by herself!

She thought it was interesting...
& studied it hard!
& tried to eat it a few times...

I love Cougars!

Ben and I finally decided on which jogging stroller to buy!
Our NEW Chariot Cougar2 came in the mail the other day...
And I LOVE IT!

It's a bit of a monster piece of equippment... so I wasn't sure how it was going to handle on runs, but I took it for a spin yesterday afternoon and WOW, it was great! I couldn't believe how smooth and easy it was to push and turn! I am so glad that we bought this model. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

Isabella seems to love it too...
She fell asleep on our run!

Child-proofing Anyone?

Well, these days Isabella has been changing a lot!!!
She is no longer just content with sitting quietly on the floor...
Her newest thing is getting into the cupboards. I love her little looks as she opens the doors and starts to grab something... She'll look up at me with these eyes that say... "Mommy I'm going to touch whatever is in here is that ok?"
Bella loves to open and close the doors as well. I keep thinking she's going to get her little fingers... but so far so good, no caught fingers.

Not only is she getting into the cupboards... today while I was changing her diaper, she some how managed to get the screw top off of her baby lotion (that was over and behind her head on the change table) and decided to take a hand full and eat it!

I have a feeling that our days of our sweet little girl who was so compliant, calm and didn't really get into 'trouble' are over (which in one way I'm not complaining about).
She'll still be our sweet girl, just in a different way!

Bathing Beauty!

Here are some recent photos of Isabella in the tub!
We have been fortunate, because she absolutely LOVES the water!
While we were in Hawaii, Bella discovered that she could suck the water out of the cloth. She loves doing that too. And gets mad when I take it away when it is time to use the soap and get her all clean. What a cutie!
My crafty and very talented friend Julie made this bath time towel for Isabella. Thanks Julie, it has become a bath time favorite!

Scoot Scoot

Last weekend we went down to Witchita Falls to get Bella some things...

We bought her a Play Yard! They aren't called play PENS anymore... Anyway, we thought it would be good, consider she is getting more mobile and the longer we wait to introduce her to a play yard the harder it will be to keep her in it once she can actually crawl and walk.
She loves it! She plays to well in it! Now, hopefully she will like it even when she can actually get around! We will see.

This is our little scooter! She only goes to the right... but it's just so darn cute!

Mum Mum

In case you were wondering... This is a Mum Mum!

Basically a rice cracker... Once it goes in her mouth... all you can see is the end getting smaller and smaller, it basically just dissolves in her mouth.
Bella loves them!

9 MOnths Old

This is Isabella's 9 Month Shrinking Bear Photo!
Isn't she getting BIG.
I weighed her the other day, and she is 17 lbs and is 28 inches long!
The Green Hair Bow is for St Patty's Day... Doesn't she look CUTE!
Here is what our sweet girl is up to these days:
  • Claps, waves and I am trying to teach her how to blow kisses (don't quite have that down yet)
  • Eats cheerios like a mad women (by the hand full)
  • Loves her mum mums
  • Does not stay in one place anymore... She scoots and turns around in circles on her bottom
  • Loves her baths still... lately she has been kicking and splashing like crazy
  • Love her Daddy! You should see her face when Ben comes into the room
  • Does NOT like her headbands anymore... she rips them off as soon as I put them on her head... A Sad day for me!

Fit for a (PINK) Princess!

Something I have been wanting to do since Isabella was born, is paint her room... Pink of course!
My friend Holly recently painted her daughter Ella's room with a beautiful mural and posted pictures on her BLOG. She inspired me! So on Wednesday I went out and bought some PINK paint with a room fit for a princess in mind!
I LOVE how it turned out!!!
I still have some things to hang on the walls and paint the fourth wall. But until then, here is some what of the finished product...

CHOP CHOP... 15 inches!

Two weeks ago I got my hair cut... a BIG hair cut!

15 inches!

I meant to post a pic before we left, but didn't. Ben and I had a deal that when we got pregnant I would cut my hair... and well Isabella was 8 months old... so I got an extra year and a half with my hair. I did need a change though... I hardly ever wear my hair down, because it takes so long to blow dry... Who actually has an extra 35 minutes to spen drying their hair every morning??? Definitely NOT me. I would much rather get an extra 35 minuted of sleep.
Summers in Altus is another reason why I got my hair chopped. It's too darn HOT to have all that hair...

Here is a before and after pic...

Yes, I am going to Donate my maine to Locks of Love

Hawaiian Sunsets...

Ahhh... A Hawaiian sunset!

One of my favorite things about this beautiful place.
This was our first night...

Date night with Ben... We went to Tommy Bahama's!

The night my parents left... this was my favorite sunset of all!

HAWAII 2009

We're Back...

We arrived back yesterday afternoon from our trip to Hawaii. I apologize for not updating while we were gone... I tried to post from our new cell phones (that have Internet) and it didn't work! So for all of you who have been checking, with no posts to look at... Sorry.

We spent a wonderful 9 days on the Big Island of Hawaii with my parents and as a family. I have been waiting all year since we got back last February to go again... and it was worth the wait!
Here are some photos of our sweet girly playing in the sand.
BELLA on the BEACH!

My mom said that when I was little, I LOVED to eat sand! So we were very interested to see what Isabella would do when her skin hit the sand... And well by the photos you can tell that she LOVED it. She did try a few handfulls... but she was more interested in studying the sand in her little hands. It was so cute.
