Baby Furniture!

Another reason why we went to OKC was to finally buy some baby furniture! I am very excited about our picks for the baby's room (and I think he/she will be too). Our MDX was completely full from floor to ceiling with boxes. It was a successful baby shopping furniture trip!

As soon as we got home, I ripped into the boxes and started 'making a mess' putting everything together. All the pieces are together now, so stay tuned for more photos of the baby's room as it evolves from our junk room to our baby's room!

Trip to OKC

This past weekend Ben and I headed up to Oklahoma City satuday and sunday. It was a great get-a-way from Altus and we had tons of fun and accomplished a lot too.
On Saturday evening we met our friends Klara and JJ for dinner, movie and a walk around the Oklahoma City river walk.

We had a great dinner at "CRAB Town" before hitting up a late night movie. We went to see 21, which I though was actually pretty good. Here are some pics of our night.

On Sunday we all went to the OKC Science Center to see the "Bodies" Exhibit.
It was very interesting. I wasn't too sure what I would think, but it was actually really cool. If you haven't heard about it, the exhibit features what they call "Cadavers" (real human bodies, which have been plasticized). The process allows you to see every, bone, muscle, nerve, artery and vein in a human body fully preserved. A little strange to see, but worth it!

What a wonderful day to reflect on and celebrate the death and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Green Thumbs!

Ben has been bugging me for a while now to buy some plants and flowers for our VERY bland front yard. So today we were off to Walmart with green thumbs in mind! Once we arrived, I got really excited about planting and bought not only flowers and a few bushes, but seeds to plant my very first garden!

Along with an array of flowers, I am going to attempt to GROW pumpkins, lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, sun flowers and strawberries. Here are some before and after pictures of planters in the front. Stay tuned for updates on my garden!!!

Bedroom Furniture

We finally invested in bedroom furniture!

Since Ben and I got married, we have been through at least 25 different furniture stores looking for the perfect bedroom furniture. We had trouble finding the 'one', not because we couldn't decide or agree...

but because shortly after our wedding, I saw the Hudson Bedroom furniture from Pottery Barn in a catalogue and fell in love with it! Nothing came close to comparing with it! So Ben and I finally decided to splurge and invest in a great quality bedroom set from Pottery Barn.

Home to Calgary

I took my last trip home before the baby comes. It was great to see all my friends and family. My parents hosted a fun Open House/ Baby Shower for us while I was home. It was so nice to see all the people who came out and supported our growing family.
Thanks to everyone who came out and for all the wonderful baby gifts!!!
