Sweet Potato Time

Sweet Potatos was next on the list.
I busted out the Beaba Baby Food machine (Christmas present from Grammy) and made my first baby food.

Isabella's solid food now includes Sweet Potatos.
I think she really liked them...

Trip to San Antonio

Last Wednesday Ben, Bella and I headed down to San Antonio, TX for a AETC Symposium (fancy name for an Air Force Conference)...

We stayed right down on the River Walk, toured the Alamo, dinned at great restaurants, SHOPPED, and spent time with old friends. It was a wonderful trip!

We met up with Holly & Tobin Gannett (friends who we were stationed with up in Grand Forks) at Starbucks... It was so nice seeing them especially because they had a little girl (Ella) just 5 weeks after Bella was born. Ella & Bella had a great time looking at each other and exchanging smiles and babbles.

My good friend Dawn who we were also stationed with in Grand Forks, now lives just outside of S.A with her family. I spent most of my spare time with her during the days.
After the conference was over we stayed with them on Saturday night...
It was so much fun seeing Dawn again. Since we saw each other last, we have both had babies! Something I really do love about being in the Air Force, is you get to know so many great people, from all over the world... and each place we go I know I will meet and stay in touch with a few certain people... Dawn is definitely one of those people!

Hokey Poky

Today I took Isabella in for her next round of shots.
Poor little thing had to get three shots in her thighs and one vaccine in a drink form.
I have never seen Bella cry like that before, when the nice man poked three needles in a row. Mouth wide open, no sound coming out and not breathing for a good 10 seconds and then she let out this BIG cry and shed a few BIG tears. Then I picked her up and she was done!

This is Bella when we got home from getting her shots!

Interested in her bandaids...
What a Sweet Girl!

You've Gotta Start Somewhere!!!

So, before Christmas I got this fun idea to start a workout group here in Altus for the wives. But also for me too... as I was finding that I wasn't making getting back into shape a priority with all the other things going on in life.

For those of you who don't know, I am a certified spin (cycling) and aerobics instructor from my Grand Forks days and have been instructing spin for Ben's Squadron for a little while now.

Tuesday afternoon I created a group on Facebook called "You've Gotta Start Somewhere" and sent the word out that every Tuesday and Thursday I would be in the Altus AFB gym working out and whoever wanted to join me could come.

Well on Tuesday we had a small group of girls show up... BUT tonight there were 17 of us. I was SO excited and surprised when the ladies just kept coming in. We cycled for 25 minutes and then hit the gym for abs and legs.

It was fun, encouraging and a little sweat in there too. I can't wait to keep going with all the ladies and get back into good shape!

It was AWESOME!

Missing: Suzanne & Tess who already left!

MORE RICE CEREAL!

Since we've been home Isabella has done really well with the rice cereal.
She has had it everyday since last Monday. Last weekend we even started mashing some bananas in it. She LOVES it.

Here are some cute pics of Bellie eating her cereal!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Ben & Bella

New Years Day Fun

New Years Day we headed to Nick & Julie's house for some smoked brisket that Nick smoked in his new smoker for Christmas and a night of Catch Phrase.

Thanks Nick & Julie for hosting again. Your house is a very warm house to hang out in... thanks for being so hospitable!

Of course I only have pictures of these two little cute girls who were there riding around in this red wagon!

One REALLY nice thing...

One Great thing about living here in Altus is the weather!!!!
The weather has been wonderful since we came home from Canada (a nice change)!

On Saturday we went up to Qwartz Mountain with the Schindler's for a BBQ and hike and to ENJOY the 80 degrees weather! It was so nice to be out enjoying God's creation in January... and not bundled up inside or have to dress in multi layers of clothing before leaving the house!
Here is Bella in the Moby Wrap my friend Paige made for me. I was holding her head up because she fell asleep on our walk and it was bobbing freely without support.
Isn't she just the cutest!!!
