Grandma Susie's Visit!

Grandma Susie came last weekend for a quick visit. It was great having my diaper changer back in Altus. Over this past week I think I only changed two diapers... and that was on our way back from Lawton after dropping Grandma Susie off at the airport. Changing time is 'their' little time to bond... which still happens a lot in our household, because Isabella seems to be pooing just as much as when she was born (we go through at least 8-12 diapers a day)!
The week sure went by fast, but we enjoyed every minute of it!

We were hoping that Bella Girl would roll over for Grandma Susie, but since I video tapped her a week ago, there has been no rolling over. Although, Isabella has really started to grab at her toys and use her little hands, which has been fun to see. It is so neat to watch our little girl developing and growing up. She is just the cutest, most well mannered little girl! We love her so much!

Thanks Grandma Susie for coming to visit... We love you so much!
Grandma Susie was Isabella's partner for Kindermusik on Monday... It was lots of fun!

Rolling Over!

Last night I had an OSC (Officer's Spouses Club) meeting... and when I got back Ben informed me that our little Muffin Rolled Over TWICE while I was gone! I couldn't believe it... because she's never done that with me... I quickly asked Ben if he got a picture or video of the event, to which he replied "No".
So the first thing I did this morning was lie Isabella down on the floor with my camera ready... and the first thing she did was pull up her little feet and Rolled over! WOW! What a little champ!

She getting so big! Way to go Isabella!

Infatuated with Her Bee!

Ever since Daddy put batteries in Isabella's Boppy chair, it has been one of her favorite places to hang out! And lately she has been absolutely infatuated with the little bee that hangs off of the toy contraption! She stares at him non stop as if she's absolutely in love! And now that she is starting to really chatter, Bella talks to her favorite friend Mr. Bee!

Isabella is 3 Months Old!

I know I say this almost every second post, but I can't believe how fast time is going!!! The last 3 months has gone by so fast... it's sort of sad! Isabella is growing like a weed and is getting more and more of a personality everyday!
These days Isabella has found her hands! If she doesn't have her Su-su (pacifier) in her mouth, she is constantly chewing on her hands! This past week she tried to grab at a toy on her play gym. It was so cute trying to watch her do it... She was so focused on her toy that her little eyes went cross-eyed as she looked up at it! She can't quite grab and close her hand yet (so she mostly just bats at the toys).

Bella Girl has also found her voice!!! On Saturday Ben and I were both amazed at how talkative and loud she was. She even left a voice message for Grammy and Grampy telling them all about her day!

Here is Isabella's Shrinking Bear Photo for month # 3!

Here is a little video clip of Bella chatting... It was hard to capture her in action, because every time i turned the camera on she would stop making noise! Silly girl!
I know,I know... The bow is a bit much!

Kindermusik & Cute Pictures!

This morning was our first Kindermusik class! Thank goodness for people who can sing. With absolutely NO musical talent in her parents, Isabella is getting some professional help early in life!!!

Isabella and I are attending a mom and baby music class every Monday morning for the next 16 weeks!!! A lady (Jen) in one of my Bible Studies is our 'teacher'. She leads the group with different songs, movements and actions, that are supposed to help stimulate our babies growth & development... all the while teaching them some rhythm! Jen has a beautiful voice and is a great teacher... We are excited to be in one of her classes to learn a thing or two (or three... or just anything to do with music and rhythm).

There are 6 mom's and their babies all within 3 months of each other (Isabella is the youngest)... So it will be fun to watch these little munchkins grow over the next 16 weeks. Here is a pic of everyone there this morning.

Our friend Julie & Maddie will be joining us when they return from vacation!

Naughty Bella!

I got busy this afternoon booking tickets for our Pennsylvania trip in October, that I didn't realise it was almost 3 hours since Isabella went down for her nap... I went to see if she was alright and I caught her RED HANDED going to town on her thumb for the first time. I thought we were in the clear, considering Bella hadn't found her thumb to suck on at all as of yet... I guess I spoke too soon! Naughty Girl!

SIDE NOTE: For those of you who have known me for longer than a year... Do you recognize Bella Girl's little pillow???

2 Month Appointment

This morning I took Isabella in for her 2 month appointment. The Doctor was pleased with her progress and said she is a healthy little girl.
Here are her stats:
Height: 24 inches - 90th percentile
Weight: 11lbs 1.8oz - 50th percentile
Head Circumference: 40cm - 75th percentile

Translation: Our sweet girl is a long, skinny baby with somewhat of a big head! We love her so much!

She just seems to be getting cuter all the time. I love her little faces and smiles as soon as she gets up from sleeping and her naps and the little noises she is making all the time now.

Sleeping in her car seat and baby chair during the day seems to be a thing of the past. Since we came home from Canada, Isabella Girl has been sleeping in her CRIB during the day! Yay. And we seem to have a steady routine during the day of her nap times, feeding and awake times... As well as her nighttime sleeping... Our little CHAMP usually sleeps from 9pm until 7:30 every morning, eats and then goes back to sleep for at least another hour and a half. Praise the Lord! She's just like her Mama... We need our sleep!

Here are some cute pics of Missy Bella!

Labour Day Weekend Fun!

I can't believe we are already into SEPTEMBER!!!! Time is just flying by so fast! We had a fun and relaxing few days this past weekend to bring in September. We had to stick close to home, because Ben was on alert for Hurricane Gustav... so on Saturday we headed down to Wichita Falls, TX to run some errands, shop and go for dinner. It was nice to actually shop at a (decent) Mall and eat at a nice restaurant (Jhonny Carrino's). Sunday we went to Church (and actually made it to Sunday School at 9:30), then went out for lunch with our friends the Fish's & Moore's. In the afternoon we hung around home and relaxed!

Monday we went on the Lopez's boat for the afternoon. It was so much fun. The day was beautiful... there was a nice breeze and it wasn't to hot (90's). Ms Bella Girl slept pretty much the whole time, other then the BIGGEST POOP of her life! Poop was everywhere (although we did manage to NOT get any poop on Sam's boat)! It was quite funny!

In the evening we had an impromptu BBQ with a few friends, except when Ben went to hook up our new propane tank to the BBQ... It didn't work! Oh no!
Good thing Matt and Mandi only live across the street, because we sent the guys to bring their BBQ over to our house. This was the first time we have been able to sit outside for dinner the whole summer because it has been SO HOT! The evening was absolutely beautiful!

So all is all, it was a wonderful weekend!
