The Pumpkin Patch!

This afternoon Julie and I took the girls to "The Pumpkin Patch" for pictures in their Halloween Costumes. It was so much fun! They both looked too cute and behaved wonderfully as we put them through countless shots for the perfect picture.

Thank goodness for having a friend come with us, as it would have been impossible for one person to make sure the baby didn't fall off the hay stack, try and make the baby smile (by acting sill, moving weird, and making funny noises) all while trying to capture the perfect picture. Even with the two of us, it was a workout in the 90 degree heat we had today!!!! Don't worry, I'm not complaining!
Anyway, here is the finished product!

This year Isabella was OUR LITTLE STINKER for Halloween!

Where did Madi go... & A BROWN eyed girl!

Isabella has two best friends. Madi & Maddie.
Madi lives across the street from us... But Mandi (her Mommy) took Madi home to Arizona for the next 2 months.
We are going to miss you both. And I know that Bella is going to miss playing with Madi all the time... not to mention I am going to miss my walking partner here on base!
Before Mandi & Madi left, we stopped by for a quick visit and to say goodbye! Here are some pics of the girls from our visit.

Well I think it's official Isabella is going to be a BROWN eyed girl! If you click on this picture, you can really see how brown her eyes are compared to Madi's. I totally thought that her eyes would stay blue, but I guess Daddy had stronger genes!

We're Back!

We're back from our wonderful trip to Pennsylvania! It was so nice to be back in Lancaster county again seeing all of our relatives and seeing the sights of Amish country.

Once again Bella was a perfect little traveler!
Isabella loved meeting all her great aunts and uncles, 2nd cousins and her very special great grandmother's.
I feel like I really got to know people on this trip. Had some great conversations and spent quality time with people.

A special thanks goes out to Mary & Fran, Joy & Tim and Gail & Jim for opening up their homes for us to stay in. And thanks to all those who cooked yummie meals to keep our tummy's happy. And of course all those people who were more then willing to take care of Isabella... holding her, changing her diaper, feeding her and babysitting! Isabella loved every minute of it! (and I enjoyed the help too).

Here are all the things we did while we were there! Enjoy!

A Day in Philadelphia!

On Tuesday Ann, Liz, Isabella and I took the train into Philadelphia for the day. We met Ben's cousins Josh, Kelly and Abby at the train station. They were our tour guides for the day. It was super fun hanging out with them and seeing all the sights around Philadelphia. There sure was a lot to see in this VERY historic city!
Highlights:
  1. Pics with the Liberty Bell
  2. Seeing the first hospital in the USA (and the very first operating room)
  3. Eating a phily cheese steak in the market.... My order.... "American With" tanslation: I want a cheese steak sandwich with American cheese and onions.
  4. Walking the cobble stone streets with the gang and hanging in Abby's appartment
  5. Riding the train to and from Lancaster

Bella Meets Buster!

This was Bella meeting Buster for the first time. Buster is Aunt Gail and Uncle Jim's cute dog. He was really excited when we first arrived and was panting and making lots of noises... and Bella just thought he was the coolest thing. This went on for at least 20 minutes. I don't know who was more excited... Buster or Bella. Buster might just take the cake... when he peed all over the Ottoman from all the excitement!

Night at the Pines!

When we arrived in PA we were greeted by Ann, Aunt Mary and cousin Katie at the airport. For some reason Isabella was a little pooping machine that night... and at one point had throw up on her head... so into the tub (kitchen sink) she went! Ann, Mary and Katie had a blast bathing Bella! She looked so stinkin cute in the big sink! We spent the first night at their house and Uncle Dan, Auntie Liz and Grampy were there to greet us when we got out of bed in the morning!

Pumpkin Carving Time!

On Friday night we were invited to the Schindler's house to carve pumpkins!

Julie make yummie appetizers to snack on while we were busy carving our pumpkins! The boys had the messy job of cleaning out the insides of the pumpkins (Ben even had his hands in there and got dirty)!!! I chose to carve a BAT...which didn't turn out quite like I have expected. But it was still fun!

After the pumpkins were done, we roasted hot dogs and smores and sat around the campfire telling stories and laughing until late in the night. We had a great time! Thanks so much to Nick & Julie for a great night!
