The Shaub's Invade Paris!

So... call us CRAZY or really really adventurous. But our family along with the Finnan's braved Paris with 4 adults and 6 kids five and under! There was Ellie, who just turned 5, Bella 4 1/2, Ethan and Marin both 2 1/2, Emalina 1 and Nash 8 months! It was nuts! BUt we did it and create a most memorable trip!
I had forgotten how BIG and busy Paris was. It's HUGE! We didn't really have an itinerary... other then to hit up the most popular spots in Paris. And that we did.
We took the Metro a few times, which was comical. Ben and I definitely got our workouts in carrying the double stroller up and down the stairs. Thank goodness we went with other people who had children... because there were times when it was literally divide and conquer. And the Metro was definitely one of those places. It was pure pandemonium! I couldn't imagine traveling like that everyday!
Our fist stop was to the Le Louvre! We only saw it from the outside... The kids had fun touching the triangle and chasing the pigeons!

Saturday and Sunday we did a hop on-hop off bus tour... which was the perfect way to travel with the kids. We mostly sat on the upper deck and had some great views of the city!

Champs Elysees and the Arch de Triumph
Sean and Ben enjoying one of the MANY french crepes we eat throughout the trip.
And of course the Eiffel Tower. This was Bella's favorite part of the trip. She couldn't get enough of the Eiffel Tower and since we returned, she hasn't stopped talking about the Paris Tower.

THey could not wait to get on the carrousel ride right below the Eiffel Tower. Definitely a neat place to say you rode the carrousel.

Musee d'Orsay. WE actually braved this museum with all 6 kids. It went fairly smooth, all things considered. It is the most beautiful museum, as a refurbished old train station. And, man does it ever have some amazing art!
Notre Dame. We didn't even have to wait in line. It was great. It make the ambience even better, there was an English Veterans Day service going on inside.

And this would be how the Shaub's roll through Paris!

Oh those crepes... They were so darn good!

Traveling with the Finnan's was great. They definitely know our insanity!
We also swapped date nights... So Ben and I actually got to enjoy one meal together in peace and quiet! It was divine! We went to a soufflĂ© restaurant and then walked to streets of Paris to the Louvre at night. So pretty.
Thanks for making such a memorable trip Finnan Family. Can't wait to do it again?!?!
Ok... maybe not Paris!
