POOL TIME

Bella Girl and I met Mandi and Madi at the base pool for a little dip today! It was nice to finally get back in the water... We were in the water for at least 30 minutes, and once again Isabella loved the water... she even fell asleep while I was holding her!
She looked so cute in her little swim suit (that is WAY too big, but it covers her skin, so I put it on her anyway), sun hat and her adorable little baby sunglasses(thanks to Julie)! She will definitely be our little water baby! Here are some cute pics for today!

August Card Swap!

Today was August Card Swap day... We all met at Appleby's this go around. It was fun hanging out with all the women and chatting over sweet tea and appetizers. Thanks Bobby for the drinks and food!
Here are the cards I made. I didn't quite have enough time to get all of them totally finished the way I wanted them... But I didn't think the ladies would mind.
Here are all the cards swapped this month.

We're Back!

Wow... long time no BLOG!

Isabella and I arrived back in OKC yesterday after almost 3 weeks in Canada. Make sure you check out all the posts to see what we've been up to!!!

Our little girl is growing too fast!!! Isabella Susie is already 10 weeks old! She is smiling more and more... I think she is going to be a morning person, because every morning when she wakes up, she looks up at me and as soon as I say anything, she gives me this huge grin! It's so cute!
She found her hands last week... which she finds quite fascinating and she sucks and chews on her knuckles all the time.

We have her 2 month doctor's appointment this week sometime, so we will she how much she weighs and her length. I bet she is almost 12 lbs! They sure don't stay little for very long!!!

Here is Isabella's 2 month Shrinking Bear photo!
I added this pic, because I thought it showed off Bella Girl's chubby growing legs!

Special Visit from Montana!

Ben's sister Liz was the only person who hadn't met Isabella yet out of our immediate family! So after Ben headed back to Altus, My mom, Isabella and I headed back up to the cabin for a visit with Grammy and Auntie Liz! It was so great seeing Liz, considering she was in Equador for the whole yar. As Bella Girl's ONLY auntie at the moment... it was special.
We all had a great visit at the cabin.
Ann & Liz, thanks so much for taking the time to come see Isabella (and the rest of us) and driving up from Montana. I know Isabella loved meeting her auntie and spending time with both of you!
Thanks for the adorable clothes from Equador too.

Built in Babysitting = Time to Get Away!

Being with my parents while Ben was with Isabella and me on our vacation meant that Ben and I were able to slip away and spend time just the two of us! It was so wonderful to hang out with him and have some Ben & Natalie time, great conversations, good food and get some exercise!!!
Going for a hike!
Heading out for dinner!
Our 2nd Anniversary!
Ben and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary while we were in Canada. Wow, I can't believe how fast the past two years went by. We were able to leave Isabella with my Mom for the day(thanks to the Madela Pump in Style breast Pump... the best thing on the planet) and headed up to where we got married in Banff and spent our very first date. It was special being up there for our Anniversary... and as Ben said be "where it all went down" (meaning the wedding of course)! It was fun to relive the memories of our wedding day and the first few days of our honeymoon.

Mom... Thanks so much for all the Isabella sitting you did while I was home. I truly appreciate you taking special care of our daughter!

At the Cabin!

We headed up to my parents cabin for the first part of our holiday! It was so wonderful to be up there again. It is so beautiful, relaxing and we always seem to have such a great time!
We boated, ate great food (Nibs & Rolo ice cream... which you can't get in the USA), went for long walks, and had a great time with Grandma Susie & Grandpa Don and Granty & Gruncle.

Meeting the Relatives!

In Calgary Isabella was able to meet and see all of my family!
This was a special visit, as Isabella still has all Great Grandparent living on my side. I always loved seeing pictures of of my great grandparents... so it was important to me to have Isabella meet them all.
Here is a slideshow of Isabella meeting all her relatives!

Oh Canada...

Isabella had her first plane ride today from OKC to Calgary, AB!

She slept the whole entire time, except when we wanted to take a pictuer of her and Mommy after everyone left the plane... she didn't like that! I thought the landing might have made her a little uncomfortable, but she just kept on sleeping! What a great baby!

Play Group!

Today we had our first play group with 4 other moms and babies from the base!
It was so much fun to hang out with other moms and talk about... none other than our children!

Isabella is the youngest munchkin out of this bunch at 7 weeks old, Paige is the oldest at almost 6 months, Madie is next 3.5 months, Madi (#2) is 3 months, and Carter (the only boy) is just one week older than Isabella.

Julie hosted our first group at her house... She has all the latest baby toys and gear, that we all tried out! Here are some cute pics from our time!

8 Hours & 51 Minutes... Significant???

YES, to me this number is VERY significant!!! This is how long Isabella slept last night!!! I couldn't believe it when I got up at 5:44am hurting because I was so full (she was still sleeping). I finally woke her up at 6:04 (she was stirring a little in her crib, but probably could have slept longer) because I thought for sure she needed to eat. She ate and then went back down until 9:15. Do I have the best little baby or what?
YAY for sleep!

Our little Sleeping Beauty loves to sleep in her crib at night... But during the day, for some reason she doesn't like sleeping in her crib! I don't have a clue why... However, she does sleep in her car seat or Boppy chair. Weird!
I know 'they' say not to allow your child to sleep in her car seat or baby chair, but the way I look at it, is if she's sleeping who cares where she sleeps!

Here are a few pics of Miss Isabella sleeping during the day!
