Our Sweet Children

Some recent photos of our beautiful children for you all to enjoy:
She is definitely getting a little personality... and clothing style: Thanks for the adorable skirt Auntie Liz (the hat and shoes were her added touch)
Bella's hair is finally long enough to pull back into pig tails... and she is ACTUALLY letting me put bows in it now! I LOVE It!
Sleeping in his car seat... As long as he sleeps... I don't really care where it is!
Isabella has been ADDICTED to her susu (pacifier) since Ethan was born... It is going to be a nightmare to get rid of! Not looking forward to it!
I think Ethan's eyes are going to stay blue.

Bella & the KC 135

Isabella loves planes.
Every time we hear or see a plane overhead, she points to the sky and says "Dada".
This morning the base play group was able to tour a KC-135.
Ben met us there to come along so he could show Bella his plane. She loved it and was very enthralled to be up in Daddy's plane. As soon as we got in the car to drive away, she started saying "more, more, more"
Here are some photos of our 135 trip:

Like Father, Like Daughter

Ann told me a story that when Ben was 2 years old, she caught him straightening out the tassels on a rug...
The other day I went into Isabella's room and her shoes were organized on her chair... I thought to myself: That is a little weird, Ben must have put her shoes on the chair.

The next day I was in her room again, and I looked behind the door and this is what I saw:
I could not believe that Bella would have done this by herself. But she did!
I guess it's probably safe to say that she is going to be more like her Daddy then me in this (organizational) department.
Which, when I think about it... is a very good thing!

Grammy's Visit

Grammy was here for a wonderful 10 days to meet her new little grandson. It must be a baby thing, because Ann was just as much in love with this little guy as she was with Isabella (her first grandchild). It was so nice to have Ann stay with us. Once again I really didn't do much other then nurse and change the odd diaper here and there. She took over the kitchen. Ann kept asking me if I minded if she made this or baked that... Minded... heck no! I Loved it! We were well fed and Ben was able to enjoy some of his favorites while his mom was here.
Ann took care of Isabella every morning, keeping her busy so baby and mommy could get some extra rest, she changed diapers, cleaned, and did the laundry among other things.
I truly appreciate Ann's wisdom and our conversations about life. Thank you for being so special in our lives, it was so nice to have you here with us. Come back anytime.
We love you!
A cute little story... the morning after Ann left Isabella went straight to the guest room door and knocked looking for grammy. I think she was sad when I tried to explain that Grammy was back in Billings.

1 Month Old!

Where did the month go???
I cannot believe that Ethan is one month old already! I thought time went by fast with one child... It goes even faster with two!
Our little man is growing so fast. I don't think I will be able to call him our little man for too much longer, as I think Ethan is going to be a chunker! We visited with some friends over the weekend who's baby was 4 days old and Ethan looked like a truck beside her (and she was 1/2 a pound bigger then he was at birth). It was crazy to think he was so small when we brought him home a month ago.
Here is Ethan's One Month Shrinking Bear Photo:
(Click on the 'Shrinking Bear' tag at the bottom of this post to see Ethan's first Bear Photo)
Here is what Ethan is doing these days:
He's a great eater... way fast then Isabella was at this age.
He is on a 3-4 hour eating schedule pretty much around the clock.
He is now 22 inches long (grown 2 inches since birth)
He has horrible gas... haven't heard a baby toot like this EVER!
He likes to be swaddled to sleep
LOVES his susu!
Starting to move his little arms to bat at things
He has grown out of his Newborn diapers and most of his nb clothing
He is starting to really follow with his eyes
And he is starting to give us a few smiles here and there.
We sure do LOVE this little guy!

Ethan's Baby Shower

Last Sunday my good friend Julie hosted a baby shower for Ethan. Julie is a magnificent hostess and makes her home so welcome to everyone. Not to mention throws on heck of a baby shower!

It was so wonderful to have all the ladies there to help celebrate Ethan's birth.
We both (ok, he just mostly slept and really didn't know what was going on) but I truly appreciated all the love and support for our son, not to mention the generosity of all those who came. He was totally spoiled by everyone. This child won't need another piece of clothing bought for him for the next year.
I didn't really know if I would have as much fun dressing this little man as I did Isabella, but I must say, there are some pretty dang cute 'boy' things out there!
Thanks to all those who helped out with the shower. You are all wonderful friends! Thank you so much!

Here are some of the photos from the shower:

Can you see Ethan in the mountain of gifts he received! WOW!
