Bella's 1st Tooth

Here is a pic of Bella's first tooth. She doesn't really like me looking at it, as you can see!

Swing Swing!

While Grampy (Ben's Dad, Steve) was here for the weekend, he hung up Bella's swing on a branch in the back yard. Bella loves to swing in it! Here are some cute pics... just look at that smile!

Happy Birthday Ben!

Ben is 31!

Ben was on cloud 9 this year with his Mom here for his birthday! He put in a special order of Shepherds Pie and special chocolate cake with white frosting and semi sweet chocolate drizzled on top! Thank goodness Ann was here to head up the cooking, because it just wouldn't have been the same without her. The cake was incredible... The shepherds Pie tasty (and surprisingly easy to make)!

Happy Mother's Day & Isabella's Dedication

This Mother's Day was a special one for all of us.
Not only did we have both sets of parents in Altus with us, but it was Isabella's Baby Dedication at Church.

What is a Baby Dedication you ask?
Deuteronomy 6: 4-7 states:
"Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on their children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

The purpose of a Baby Dedication is publicly announcing that Ben & I will bring Isabella up in the ways of the Lord. Teaching her the Lord commandments, reading scripture to her, not just go to church, but also living out an example of faith in our daily lives.

We are so thankful that God has graciously given Isabella to us as our daughter.
We have been given so much joy through this precious child, that is only appropriate that we dedicate her back to the Lord on this day.

Ben and I look forward to parenting our sweet little girl and being able to share with her the greatest gift of all: Eternal Salvation through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

It was so special to have both our parents here to celebrate my first Mother's Day and this special occasion!

Bellie Standing!

Here is a really cute video of Bellie standing up in her crib for the first time. She now can stand up on most of the furniture and she is starting to toddle around everything. I think she'll be walking before her 1st birthday!

As you will see Bella is VERY proud of herself for standing! What a cutie!
