Visit From Paige

My Good childhood friend Paige came to visit last week with her adorable daughter Brooklyn. We jam packed our 4 short days everything you could possibly imagine.
Paige and I have a history of literally being 2 peas in a pod. We have know each other since we were in diapers and our Dads even lived with each other in their 20's, so our history runs deep.

We took the girls to the pool

Isabella adored Brooklyn and wanted to do what the big girl did

We went to the Pantry with friends for lunch after Bible study

Paige and I played competitive badminton together in high school (YES for all of you Americans Badminton is actually a BIG sport up in Canada, not just something you play in the back yard), traveled all through Costa Rica and Panama for two and a half months together when we were 20 and every time we were together you could always count on something going DOWN and it being LOUD!!!!

There weren't enough hours in our day to chat the night away once the girls were in bed. THe first night we stayed up until 12 catching up, the second night we stayed up until 12:30 and then the third night, amidst our card and bow making, we got reminiscing about our summer in Costa Rica and Panama and that was it... At 1:30 we forced ourselves to shut it down, as we could have stayed up all night talking about it (actually it was more like yelling). Thank goodness Ben was off in Arizona for the week, or we would have actually had to keep quiet (a foreign concept for us)!

We took the girls on a hike to the Wichita Mountains. We made it to the top and on the way down with our little girls in tow we maneuvered our OWN way down the mountain in Paigee and Natalie fashion off roading a little. Paige kept saying if only Trey knew we were doing this... Ben would have flipped out too!

I took Paige to Meers for Burgers. How can we have visitors and NOT take them to Meers. Paige was a little surprised that I would drive 50 minutes for hamburgers... But after lunch, she knew why.

Paige, thanks for making US one of the stops on your cross country trip. It was so wonderful to see you and Brooklyn. Wasn't it great to have our little girls together?!? We had a blast!
We'll have to do it again soon!
